Off Grid: Solar oven

Recently I was involuntarily off grid for most of the day when my power got knocked out. Hot dinner? No problem. I have one of these:

I'd recently put it away for the season, since I use it mostly during the summer. When the temperatures are 100+ all day, the oven, stovetop and crockpot in my house stay off. They strain the already overworked air conditioner, and slaving over a hot stove makes the cook (me) very grumpy. On the other hand, sticking this on the backporch in the morning and letting it cook all day is easy. I treat my solar oven like a crockpot, and I've found that all of my slow cooker recipes take to the solar oven without needing modification.
